Biofeedback and MindBall
EEG, one of the techniques of Biofeedback, is used in MindBall - a game where the audience play and move the ball by just watching it. Sensors attached to head bands are connected to a biosensor system which keeps a check on the electrical activity in the brain.
It is sort of a neurofeedback hockey. It’s something amazing because you do not move the ball with your hands or any racket or any other mechanism. But only with the aid of your mind.
The only way you can make the ball move is through your brain waves, and these are emitted only when you are calm and relaxed. The brain waves increasing the chance to win Mindball are called Alpha and Theta, and they occur when you are calm and relaxed. When playing this game, only when you are relaxed you will be able to move the ball to the opponent’s goal. The ball will not move if you are stressed out.
This game is extremely useful as it helps train you to be calm under stressful situations, as contrary to other games, the person who is more relaxed wins. It helps increase your concentration, and also helps you have a control over your stress levels.
